Whew!

It’s been a crazy month. So to update everyone on what’s been going on. The car was officially totaled, they paid a large portion to what I owe. I do not have to make any payments until December 2010. I driving my mom’s car for the time being. I’m looking into buying a used 2000 Ford Focus, but I have to have my mechanic nephew take a look at it.

I DID move into my own apartment a couple weeks ago. I’m still not completely settled into my place. Still have a couple pieces of large furniture that I need to get moved in. Still kinda living out of boxes and laundry baskets. I’m so totally broke but I couldn’t be happier to have my own place. I had been previously living with my mom and her ex (which is a long story.)

My laptop died on me when it was doing an update so I had to reformat that, which is why I went silent. I didn’t have access to a PC that would allow me to blog the way that I wanted to. But anyways my brother in law fixed it so I’m back in action.

I have some dental work that needs to be taken care of. Not going to go into too much detail, but it requires having two teeth surgically removed.. gah! I think that pretty much catches me up to date.

  • This is my second time moving out and I’m just excited this time as I was last time. It does seem like its taking forever to get settled in but I’m almost there! At some point I plan on offering my layouts for download!

  • Yay for moving to your own place! I remember when I did that. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done! :D I hope you’ll get properly settled in soon. Living out of boxes sounds like a pain.

I really love your layout by the way. It simple but still have character and the colours are wonderful. :)

  • Hehe! I’m so glad to be back as well! I’ve missed you and everyone else.

  • Lol well thankfully I’ve already had my wisdom teeth removed so I know what I’m in for. It shouldn’t be too terribly bad.. it generally never is.

  • It’s been totally crazy the past 10 months or so. Things are so much better now! Thanks.

  • Honestly I’ve had it saved in my Google reader for months. I really don’t remember how I came across it. As far as the dental work it won’t be bad. I’m having two teeth surgically removed and will be under anesthesia for that process! It is totally the wallet where it’s hurting me the worst. That and the possible time I’ve already missed, and the time I might miss for the procedure and recovery.

Yikes. What a whirlwind hun. Hope things are on the right track now. Good luck with the dental work… that would be a huge nightmare for me :(

  • Hey there. Thanks for commenting on my blog. How’d you come across it?

Nevertheless, I usually find that dental work is never as bad as you think it is if you walk into the office assuming that you’re going to go through hell. I’ve had two root canals in my life. The first was possibly the worst hour of my life. When I had to go in for the second, I was just terrified, but I walked in ready to just grin (sort of) and bear with it and walk out having another painful experience under my belt. Turns out that the second one didn’t hurt at all.

Hopefully things go well for you. What I find more painful than the actual pain is the large dent that kind of work takes on your bank account. I always feel as though dentists are just like car repair guys. I always wonder if they’re just trying to make more cash instead of telling you that some mouthwash is going to help with your tiny cavity.

  • Eek, removing teeth surgically is not fun. I removed one of my wisdom teeth once and I’ve never been in so much pain before! Sorry to scare you off a bit there ;)

So our 3rd shift weekend tech put in his two week notice, and they didn't get anyone hired to take over the position. Guess who gets to work 7 days a week until they figure out what they are going to do. Yup that's right... Me! Yay for overtime!
