She’s Back!

After a month long hiatus I am finally back. For the most part I’ve gotten everything straightened out in my life that I needed to. It’s been a difficult time, but don’t worry I came out completely unscathed. There really is so much to explain that I don’t think I can do it all in one post, but I’m going to try to get most of it out.

So ready for the big news? I’m moving to California!!! I don’t know when I’m going, where I’m going to live, or what I’m going to do at this time, but I’m going. I decided several months back that I was going to stop talking about, and actually going to do it.

Now the reason why I put my site on hiatus was because before I felt ready to announce this on my website (which I’ve been DYING to do), I needed to get some things in my life in order. As many of you know I have a husband, Jimbo. Well what you didn’t know is that we aren’t actually married, we just acted like it.

When I made the decision to go to California I knew it would cause conflict between us, and until I knew that was sorted out I didn’t think I would be able to talk about it on here. Some of you might have noticed in my about me section that I took off any reference to Jimbo. The reason being is we have officially broken up. He just felt like he couldn’t leave his family here.

Which leads me to why I’m going. In July of 07, I met my biological family1. I’m so happy to have them in my life, but I feel like I can’t get to know them the way I would like to living in Alabama2. It was a difficult decision to make, but I am extremely excited.

So what does this mean for the domain? I’ve felt like my blog has been floundering more than a little. With everything going on in my life that I can actually talk about it helps give me direction. I plan on using it to chronicle my journey and the next steps I’m taking into my life.

I do have much more to talk about, and get more in depth about all these aspects, but I plan on breaking it up into different posts, so keep an eye out for that. It’s so good to be back, and I look forward to sharing more about this with everyone!

  1. I was put up for adoption at birth []
  2. They all live in California, obviously []

For those of us that are celebrating I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. If anyone is traveling this holiday please be safe.

I’ll be at work til 3pm, and then after that I’m going to my mom’s. So I’ll be away for the rest of the day. Gobble Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m being lazy today. I’ll start returning comments tomorrow. I cleared out my Google Reader cause I had like over 300 to read and I just didn’t feel like doing it. Again have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Day With Mom

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my mom. Over the years we’ve developed a wonderful friendship, one that I wouldn’t give up for anything. Well yesterday she sent me a text around 4 am telling me to call when I was up. I happened to still be up so I called her back. I ended up driving to her house around 4:30 in the morning to hang out for the day. One of the best things about going over to my mom’s is she’s always got something for me.

Since I’m working 3rd shift I was in dire need of some warm fuzzies as I like to call them. I also decided that I needed *gasp* a bigger purse. I’ve recently started carrying one around. I’ve realized that as a female it’s practically a necessity to have a purse. *bangs head against desk* I’m turning into a girl *ack*.

Day Out With MomSo my mom took me shopping and I got some pretty cute stuff. The black bag with the peace sign is my new purse. It’s really simple, just one big whole. No compartments, just a pocket on the inside for the small stuff.

The pink bag says Bridesmaid on it. My mom got it for me for my sister’s wedding. She says it’ for like keeping my shoes and my bra, and anything else together on the day of so I won’t lose anything.

I also got a really soft and warm blue scarf; two pairs of fuzzy gloves that are just amazingly warm. Mom also picked out a really cute coffee mug, on one side it says, “Life Is Good”, and on the other, “Do what you like. Like what you do.” Which totally epitomizes what my new shift is about.

She also sent me home with a pair of shoes, some long sleeve shirts, a hoodie and some fuzzy socks (which who doesn’t love fuzzy socks.) She also sent home some food home with me. I love shopping and Rent’s Grocery store.
