A little late

I know I said I was gonna update everyone yesterday, but it was so busy at work that I didn’t get the chance. Thursday night I was counting down the hours til midnight, and just being generally annoying because of the excitement. I was fidgiting and checking the clock about every 10 minutes or so before Jimbo took the phone away from me and wouldn’t let me check.
When midnight finally came around he was already asleep, so I spent the first few hours of my birthday doing dishes, and laundry trying to exhaust myself so I could go to sleep. I finally went to sleep around 3:30 in the morning, just to wake up at 7:30 to have birthday breakfast at IHOP.
I got to my mom’s around 10 in the morning, and as soon as I go there I opened up the bottle of Malibu Rum I bought myself and started making pina coladas for everyone. We started swimming around 11, and just generally dicked around until everyone else started to show up for the BBQ.
Around 3 my sister called me and told me a birthday wish had been granted, that Nikki had gotten fired. Nikki is a pain in the ass technician at work that nobody likes. So I giggled like a school girl and stated that was the best birthday gift I could have gotten all day. Sure I know that sounds mean, but I really don’t care, you’d just have to know the girl.
So around 5 everyone who was going to be there showed up and I was finally able to open my birthday gifts. I got a set of Huggable Hangers which I had been dying to get. My mom got me a really nice floor lamp for our living room (we don’t have a ceiling light). I got a bunch of fuzzy socks, and a few movies (Cellular, Anywhere But Hear, & Autumn In New York.) My mom’s roomate also got me a bunch of outdoor decorations to hang on my front porch.
We grilled out steaks for dinner, and my mom made a home made cake, and we all went swimming for a few hours, and drank some more. I didn’t end up getting home until about midnight, and didn’t end up crashing until about 3 in the morming.
All in all it’s one of the best birthdays that I’ve had in years. Normally I get a shit ton of presents, but just spending time with the people that matter the most to me was really better than any gift I could have gotten. Hopefully next year will be just as fun.
Question: What was your best birthday? What did you do? Why was it the best?

Happy Birthday!
As for a turtle, if you have the time (and money) to take care of one, I’d say go for it. They’re very messy though and if you don’t take care of your turtle’s tank, it can get messy and smelly. I love mine though and it was a birthday gift to me. Just think of turtles as cats I would say.

Happy (belated) birthday! I’m glad you had a good time, it’s always nice to have your most important people there to take part in something special to you
In answer to you question: my best birthday is probably the one I just had in July. I am away from home right now, so I didn’t get to spend my day with family… but in exchange I spent the day with some friends who I’ve discovered are maybe my closest friends. They took me out to dinner, surprised me with cake, and threw me a party. I hope my next birthday will be fun too!

Happy Belated Birthday!
As for my favorite birthday, I can’t really say that one stands out more than another. My 21st was certainly a great one, but they were all great actually. Maybe my fifteenth was awesome, because it was my quinceanera.

Mm Pina Coladas! But I just can’t drink any coconut rum. A word of advice never drink it straight from the bottle.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
