Because I’m bored I decided to blog about my desktop. I absolutely can’t stand clutter on it, but I have files that I like to be able access quickly. Until recently the only thing I could do was deal with it.

When I started working with the MAC computers I absolutely fell in love with the dock that comes standard with it. I started researching on the internet. I wanted to find one that I could download for my Windows PC.

I came across several different programs, and ultimately decided to use three. While the ones on the left and right remain hidden thanks to an Auto Hide feature, the main one I use stays up. If you’re looking for something to give your desktop a cleaner look, and still have access to all your frequently used programs I recommend downloading a dock.

That’s how I feel some days. I pissed away my entire weekend playing games and watching TV. I didn’t work on my site, or clean at all.

I did however get quite a few brainstorming ideas hammered out regarding my Help Desk section that should premier in the next month or so.

I’m still having my issue with Wordpress 404′ing every time I try to post or edit a page, but so far it hasn’t done that when I writing blog posts.

Well at least for me it is. Soon I’ll be enjoying 3 luxurious days away from work. It looks like the move date of May 10th is still holding up. We might actually move this time. I really hope so because I’m tired of playing musical chairs at work.

So my plans for the weekend is this. Finish adding all the plug-ins that I’ve recently downloaded. Do some more research on this problem I’ve been having with WP. Clean the apartment so there will be room for the new furniture.

I’ve got about 20 loads of laundry to do lmao so I’m probably going to take my laptop to my mom’s and do laundry there. Only downside is she’s on dial up out there *shudders*.

So what’s the weather doing elsewhere. Here in Alabama we are going through a cold snap. I thought winter was finally over, but it’s almost May and it’s currently 59 degrees F. There’s a saying in Alabama, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute, it WILL change.” Hopefully we won’t have another summer like last year.

We broke some local record having 13 days in a row of temps in the triple digits. The humidity is killer around here too. I’m just glad I work nights.

Well enough of my bitching. Time to get ready for work.

With everything that’s been going on with Wordpress the past few days I’ve decided to do a personal post. Get everyone up to speed.

Well, personal life is great. Jimbo and I are doing well. We’re looking to get a bigger apartment, and adopt another kitty. We got tattoo’s for our cat Scout that passed away last week. That was our bit of closure for what happened.

We did some research, and apparently it’s something that isn’t uncommon. Strangely enough it’s never happened to any pets I’ve owned. Basically he had a heart attack, complications from too much anesthesia. However given how the vet handled the issue we’re also looking for a new vet.

So my site hasn’t quite combusted yet, though the past 2 days I’ve felt like I’ve might. I’m not sure what I’m going to do about this issue of not being able to add posts to a specific parent. As long as it doesn’t hinder my ability to add to other’s I’ll deal with it for the moment.

I was able to get all but one page added, and it’s annoying the hell out of me, but I suppose I’ll survive. I’ve added something completely new in addition to WP 2.5. I’ve added a theme switcher. There’s a lot of tweaking to be done, but that’s going to keep me occupied while I search for my answer on the issue I’m having.

Please let me know what you think of the themes I’ve chosen. I looked at probably 100 or so themes, and downloaded probably 15 or 20, and these are the 3 that I’ve chosen so far. I do plan on adding more, but I need to get these 3 looking a bit better.

I’ll have some real updates later, and some up coming ideas I have for the site.
